Emma and I had a nice sail and swim (for me) yesterday afternoon - we may repeat that again today - it is 89 and heat index of 94 at 11;15 am

 

Thank you @DrOfGolf for todays thread. Glad I began today with this incredible beer. It's one of the best tasting beers I've ever had. Weihenstephaner Vitus Weizenbock. It is deluxe in every way. Happy Wednesday! Cheers Advocates!

One of my favorites when in Germany. This classic is rather unavailable here in the Netherlands.

While at the beach, been watching feel good oceanic movies like Jaws and The Perfect Storm when recharging back in the room. Recharging includes refreshments, like this decent little number from Wilmington Brewing Company we picked up at The Tipsy Goat on the way down:

Taft's Gavel Banger IPA. Sounds kinky doesn't it? Artwork looks like Wilford Brimley in a beery clawfoot bathtub havin' a barking pint/bangin' the daylights out of a gavel While they may not be making friends the easy way in the world of gavels, at 7% ABV 65 IBU, the beer is quite good. Smooth & clean. Cheers!

 

Well folks, a spring on my garage door has done did busted and I'm stuck here.

Seems as good an excuse as any to pour a delicious Fiddlehead, always found fresh around these parts.

 

A little porter makes the day. Reading about them right now in the Beer Bible as well...porters/stouts have an impressive record also historically.

 

I saw West Coast 2xIPA, I'm all in. Let's just call it a disappointment....enjoy what's in yer glass........

........as a wee child growing up Saturday was my parents "date nite", they'd have dinner and cocktails and whatnot, when they returned, it was Harry Belafonte time, (my Mother just loved that guy), always 2-3 albums. So I'm surprised to see that Mr. Belafonte has been elected to the Rock'n Roll Hall of Fame along with Dolly Parton and Eminem.
Perhaps a name change and just call it the Music Hall of Fame. That being said, I plan to nominate Mr. Lawrence Welk and His Champagne Music Makers for next year, but alas, that may be subject for another thread on a different platform!
