    Good morning Advocates, yesterday immediately after work I went to a local brewery that I know very well.
    Beers that were in great shape, although I drank more bottled than draft.

    While waiting for my friends, the first bottle I uncorked was:
    Eternal City Brewing (ITA) - XXI QUATTRO - Blanche (5%)

    33 cl bottle (€ 3.50)
    To be consumed preferably by the end: 03/2023
    Small note: the name is dedicated to the foundation of the city (21 April 753 BC).
    Beer that I know very well and that I consider one of their best creations.
    I'm not one who is thrilled with Blache beers, but this one is really special: with lemon zest and rosemary.
    Classic light yellow and slightly opalescent color.
    Foam initially abundant, but of very little consistency.
    On the nose there is already a herbaceous / spicy note, even if not immediately attributable to the rosemary.
    Very smooth liquid in the mouth, fresh and brightly corboned.
    The taste is really particular, you can feel both the citric note of lemon albedo (the white of the peel) but above all the spiciness of the rosemary, which in the mouth becomes much more distinguishable, which gives this light beer a "Mediterranean" note that it moves it away from the standard concept of blanche.
    On the finish, light soft and cereal notes of wheat are re-proposed.
    Very balanced beer, particular (in a positive way) and which for its lightness and satisfaction it leaves me is always an excellent choice to start an evening.
    Probably my favorite blanche.

    Today is my 45th birthday! I knew my plans for today the instant the 2022 MLB schedule was released: St. Louis Cardinals at Milwaukee Brewers, for a day game! Happy birthday to @Blogjackets! Every year I start this day listening to Jason Mraz, who was also born on 6/23/77, and to the ultimate birthday song, featuring two brilliant artists born in 1977!

    We're back to our usual sunshine, with no precipitation predicted. Some good rain over the past 3-4 days, but we could use a lot more.
    Dogs have been walked and I am drinking this nice Maibock.
