Have you ever considered a controlled burn?

 

I too had given up on Schlitz. I had not seen hide nor hair of it for five years+. Ended up in at an old honey hole last Tuesday in Manistee, MI, where I scored a sixer. The shop also had Upland Champagne Velvet 12s, which I plan on getting over July 4th.

I’m open to ideas. Last season it was still green and it’s literally sitting in a small stream path. Now it’s all very dry and I’m really ready to try lighting it up and keeping it in check with a garden hose, but it’s a really big pile. It went that length up the hill, that I cleared out section by section. I’m a fire sign and a bit of a pyro, and it gets so hot even I get a momentary flash of “oh Fock.”

Plus, I’ve been salvaging “nice” wood like walnut and black walnut from it, plus keeping box elder and willow for outside camp fire wood. I think I have the last of the nice stuff, and I’m just not that geared for the remaining box elder lengths and girths. I’m really challenging my 18” Poulan Pro. Gotta say though, that thing has been a beast.

Oh, and there’s a Fock ton of poison ivy vines in the mix…I wear a mask what is it P95 that filters oils too.
