Attracting lightning bugs to your garden is definitely a good thing to do, as unlike many other less desirable bugs, these beneficial insects don't bite, they aren't poisonous, and they carry no diseases. I am not sure if you have heard of these guys. Out and about for 60 years. Give them a listen.

 

Met up with a friend to see if he'd come write service for me. Met at a local brewery, 105w, for beers and tacos. The Taco truck was shit, Chipotle is better, but the Schwarzbier from 105w was good. It had a roasty minerality that was tasty, but as it warmed up it started throwing some Carmel and chocolate flavor that are more in line with Porters and stouts. It was a great beer, just not 100% to style. For what it's worth o think my buddy is gonna come on board and start getting the front of the house handled. Here's to hoping...

I wish there were more dry hopped saisons around here. I started playing with dryhopping my homebrewed saisons a few years ago. A touch of lacto twang, and a butt load of Nelson in a 5 oz charge for a week was my sweet spot. I loved that beer, and brought home some hardware with it.
