Well, we've had some excellent warm weather here on the tundra of NW PA - I've finally gotten all of my garden planted - the raised beds are built, the sand/topsoil/peat moss mixture has been filled with the extra stored for next year, every plant (except some of the marigolds) are doing well, and the never-ending weeding has begun. Now I have to start collecting the apple fall and recycling them into compost - oh my aching back!
Today's New Breakfast Beer (cross-post with NBS/NBW) is one from my reefer stock:



An excellent barleywine-style brew, IMHO, from one of the two best OH breweries - just plain delicious! Rating 4.1, rDev +6.8%.

Reciprocation is unnecessary - I try to get to DE at least annually - maybe a meet-up at a train station is possible!

 

Making chicken liver mousse and homemade caraway beer mustard for some friends who are coming over later. Needed beer for the mustard, so I used my homebrewed porter. Only needed 6 tbs. No sense dumping the rest.

Main course is a skin-on picnic shoulder done in the style of porchetta. Shout out to @tasterschoice62. Gonna pair that with a Aecht Shlenkerla Helles.

High fives all around.

Happy Sunday BA's!! Good day going here, worked 3 hours of OT, laundry done, trip to landfill complete & 1 hour of pool cage pressure cleaning in the books, so we're about to grill a burger and a half(hers). It's the bottom of bloody mary #2 and a 3 Daughters FL Orange IPA for the griller.....
