Good morning BAs (it’s about 9am here)! I dropped our friends off at the airport early this morning, then hit a grocery store for some beers. “Home” now drinking a “Coconut Hiwa” porter by Maui Brewing Co., Kihei, Maui, HI:



Pours brown with ruby highlights and good clarity; a little cap retention; solid ring and spotty lacing. Toasted coconut nose. Light roast malt, mocha and toasted coconut taste. Light body, light carbonation; no warmth from 6% abv. Overall a good coconut porter; the coconut taste is subtle but present; the body is a bit thin; an enjoyable coconut flavored beer.

Mrs. Z is still snoozing in bed and the rain is forecast for all morning; currently it is 69°, light breeze and light rain…I may just sit a bit and drink beer today. Have a Mahalo Monday and cheers from Hakalau, Big Island, HI!

 

Made my Monday morning beer run, happy to see this one back on the shelves for a couple of weeks, Finch Harcore Chimera, good stuff actually.......enjoy what's in yer glass...........

Drinking a Kilkenny and listening to traditional music at a cozy pub in Kilkenny, Ireland. Magic!

 

I've really been enjoying these Be Hoppy stovepipes. Canned 2 weeks ago and tasting really excellent. Wormtown is nailing it.

 

Oh hell. Been Rhinegeisting for 3 cans now...funny thing is is that on my day off, a fair amt of work is falling into my lap. July is getting stuffed. True dat. Rhinegeist Truth IPA. Cheers Advocates!!

 

If you can find it fresh you should revisit it. This batch is delicious IMHO. Ample hoppiness with a great balance - not too sweet and no hazy/juicy BS going on.

 

I'm jealous. I really love "real Irish" Beer.
