Went out for a little lunch and it’s damn near unbearable out. Saw we might get storms along a cooler front coming through later. Wonder if that will squash the premature fireworks and firecrackers I’m expecting this evening.



The latest in Vibrissa’s single hop explorations called Eddy Hopping, this one with Mosaic. Actually a slight spice impression up front, seeming like it could be a combination of carbonation and hops more than alcohol. A little tropical fruit (pineapple comes through), then a leafy bitterness that turns a bit piney in the end. Another enjoyable WCIPA by this brewer.

Back after another 17 mile run, threw in some vertical at a local park, might have pushed it a bit. Tomorrow's off for sure. Need to nap.
But first... after lunch HA BHA, my last found in the back of my small fridge. Happy to see it.

Full review here. A good beer may have been skunked in the green bottle over time. Finishing paired with a blueberry muffin.

Windmill Two if by Citra IPA. A very appropriate beer for this holiday weekend. This is their flagship beer and it's a tasty one. Apricot and clementine lead the way, with a nice citrus peel and slightly resinous bitterness. Quite clean and refreshing for a hazy.

Haha! Yep, this sweet rescue girl loves to be with me, whether we are hiking the trails, sailing or going for a canoe ride.....we bonded when I got her in Jan 2020, pre-pandemic, and I wouldn't trade her for anything! Best pup ever!

Just did some more sanding on the Gibbs Rocket, glad I found some good quality sandpaper on sale recently....gonna be using a shit-ton of it on this boat!

cool that my little 1956 Evinrude motor interfaces ok with the steering mechanism on this boat - just need to get the Simplex controls and cables to control the gears and throttle from up front!



can you tell I like boats? This is my first "powerboat" per se....always been a sailor, since age 16....my Dad always had powerboats, think he would like this one if he were still with us!
