Have a good Tuesday. Passed out at 11pm on the couch after getting home from Richmond around 7PM. I was driving on only 2 hours of sleep lol. Was a long work day at home. Storm came rolling in this evening.

Got a 3 lb chuck roast in the instant pot. I did seasoned salt/black pepper/Worcestershire in a bag and then seared all sides on high heat with avocado oil


Got this from Wawa near my hotel. Really love that gas station, haven't been to one in over a decade. Reviewed this in 2017 as I found out, but I did get the 16 point in a stovepipe as well to review. This is a great classic tasting IPA. Quite aggressive on pine/citrus rind bitterness and a relatively light and fairly crisp body, definitely a west coast style. Very vibrant, dank and earthy on hops with a clean malt backbone. Feels like mostly just the Centennial and Comet hops. No complaints this time around. It was not as astringent as I remember.

Melvin Juice Theorem IPA at Pinky G's Pizziera

 

Actually one of more favorite light brews.
I just harder to find in my area....

 

Jester King Hoppy 6 Grain Saison - tart lemon up front, mellowed by the breadiness of the grains. Slightly funky bitterness at the end. Delicious, complex and refreshing.

 

Arctic Devil by Midnight Sun Brewing. Another Tavour buy I’ve had before, but this one is much hotter out the gate. The alcohol blunts the caramel notes and dries out the mouthfeel. Stone fruit flavors are more enhanced. Slightly disappointed considering they raised the price significantly since last time.

Here is hoping you had a good time in Richmond. My bad but I apologize not being available to drink you under the table at my favorite Richmond breweries. Please do not write me off. I will do my best to buy you a few here next time.

Two cans of Ettaler Mythos Spezial Märzen into a Maß this evening. Almost weird to think that the imports are less than a month out when it's going to be hovering around 104 through the weekend. Couldn't force myself to watch the Reds again tonight so just enjoying the beer.
