I was pleasantly surprised and happy to see Maintains (and Shapes) come back. Wasn't expecting to see it in the local Binnys today but excited to revisit. I know hoppy lagers aren't for everybody but was a fan of this last go!

I’m having a can now and I’m enjoying it quite a bit. It’s smooth and drinkable, albeit with a non traditional hop bill.

Meanwhile, Shapes and Maintains (the one Hop Butcher brewed at their place) wasn't it for me. All tangy grapefruit flavors and very little that would indicate it's a Pilsner at all. Still waiting for a Hop Butcher lager that tastes good to me.

Maybe it's my palate and not them...

    It is not your palate.*

*I have not yet drank Maintains and Shapes, but am in the same boat regarding waiting on a lager from Hop Butcher I'd want to drink a second time.

I had the same experience with the Shapes & Maintains Pilsner on draft. It was very dank, which is fine, but I struggled to find a semblance to a Pilsner. Bought a four pack of Maintains and Shapes to go, really liked the beer last year.

Do miss Base, which they brewed the last two years as a base to previous HB collaborations, and released separately. That said, happy their WCIPA collaboration with 18th Street (Shop Talk) is returning before the Deep Woods Release. Trying to finish my remaining DDH West Coast Hero cans before picking up a few of these four packs. Can always count on Revolution to release solid IPAs in the Summer.

Third. Just drank a Shapes (which I also grabbed) and it's dank and citrus like an ipa, but the only thing pilsner here is the clean, gold color. I'd be happier with a single can or draft pour over my 4-pack, but I'll probably be able to finish it some day. Money that could have simply been utilized better elsewhere. And yeah, Base should have also returned.

Looks like the Deep Woods Season Tickets went out to the general public email list this morning.

Long time Rev fan, first time buyer. Is there a window to pick up your beers after the release date or do you have to get down there at some point on release weekend? Considering the season ticket but don't have a CHI proxy so need to know what time frame is for pickup. Thanks for the intel.

@MilwaukeeBeerMaker -- in general, if you communicate with Revolution, they will work with you on any issues. Truly top notch customer service in my experience.

Grabbed one season ticket. Very nice of Revolution to make it available to a wider range of individuals. I usually buy a single 4-pack upon the initial release, so the savings will work out well.

Based on my math, it seems like the 21/22 4 pack is free on top of the $30 savings too. That is just guessing prices though based on PY trends. Def could be off on my end.

$33.22 out the door per 4 pack. That includes the bonus 4 pack.

EDIT: And if my math isn't off already, we're talking basically 69 cents per oz for the entire release season. Considering what some of these breweries are charging for their lactose laden kitchen sink bombs, this is a win for all BA beer nerds. I don't give a shit what way you cut it.

Ugh. Sold out? Why start with no limit to everyone?

And is this now replacing VIP presale?
