    While sampling some new music, I came upon this cool track. And enjoying a Lagunitas - Daytime IPA - What the low alcohol boys can only hope for in taste.

    G'day from Sunday night Oz time.

    Enjoyed this awesome Weizendoppelbock from G.Schneider & Sohn earlier today. it's a mash-up between old-world wheat beer brewing and new-world hops, and it works great!

    The picture is before the yeast was poured in.

    Seems like we have the same duo of thread starter and follower as yesterday. Hey guys!

    There’s nothing wonderful about Leffe Blonde but it goes down well, is refreshing and that’s good enough for starting a quiet Sunday.

    Actually have bought a sixer of it because a friend come over tonight for dinner. Home made Carbonara on the menu and some Bordeaux wine.

    Classic Australian culture right there!

    The show is Countdown, an institution in Australian music and tv from the 70s and 80s. The guy "playing" the accordion is also a legend of Australia - a boozer, a larrikin, as gay as the day is long, and a famous footy supporter, Ian "Molly" Meldrum.

    -only egg yolk
    -lard from the pig's cheek (bacon) and NOT bacon (pancetta)

    I'm sorry to break the dreams of many, but a carbonara made with pancetta is not a carbonara.

    This is my first beer of the day: it is the "Session" version of the best known beer of this old Italian craft brewery (La Verguenza)

    Birrificio Menaresta (Carate Brianza, ITA) - LA VERGUENZINA - Session Ipa (4,5%)

    33 cl can, at the pub counter.
    Straw color, practically non-existent foam.
    On the nose immediately theopical fruity notes, of fresh and fragrant beer.
    In the mouth, the body is very smooth, but flat, carbonation is practically absent
    Personally, I don't mind, but it's not really a Session Ipa thing ...
    The taste is full and intense (grapefruit, yellow peach, tropical fruit) pleasantly bitter finish, without being excessive.
    Very good, it feels fresh and fragrant ... but too flat ... I didn't feel the carbonation at all which, at least with a slight contribution, would certainly have made this version more complete.

    Bongiorno, and you’re absolutely right to mention about the actual recipe of Carbonara the way Italians do it.

    As an also food lover, I’m respectful of the dishes of such and such countries.
