    I'm posting this here because i can! The Baltics are closer to Russia than the WBAYDN thread so......

    8One8 Brewing - Valhalla BBA Baltic Porter

    And holy crap is this just a great as its brother the Valhalla BBA Imperial Stout! This has just as much barrel character but a more light 50% chocolate flavor and a nice smoked backend to it. Still get the roast and malt you would in a stout, too. Fuck i love me these local breweries that make world class beers! Who needs anything more? Still gonna keep trading beer though:joy:

    Samuel Smith Imperial Stout out of England. One of the originals and still amazingly tasty. Need to have at least one of these in the cellar at all times.

    I can tell you now...at 7% i think it's not worthy of me paying for it . Im not being funny either , but if it was free or i had NO OTHER choice I'd give it a try

    stout. in a barrel. with chocolate. and hazelnut. what’s not to like?

    in all seriousness, i enjoyed this more than the Weller BA Coconut LSD. the hazelnut, which i really like, isn’t overpowering at all. it’s very chocolate forward but not super sweet - just rich and filling. cheers!

    I've had a couple 2nd Shift Imperial Stouts that @Beer_Economicus sent me and i enjoyed the hell out of them. I think one was called Silhouette.

    Hazelnut is by FAR my favorite imp stout additive.
    Not enough places use it IMO.

    if you like hazelnut done well in imperial stouts i can’t recommend Cycle’s Hazelnut Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout w/ Cocoa Nibs. great BA IS. they’ve done some others too throughout the years. Trademark Dispute was hazelnut if i remember correctly. cheers!

    Went through a Hoppin Frog phase when Grape + Gourmet carried them (RIP G+G)... would have loved to blow though all the stouts in cans because f**k bombers.

    If this was a bomber i woulda been blown to bits.

    Usually i just use a bottle stopper i got for 5 bucks at the local bottle shop. Saves my ass from a headache!

    Enjoying the BA version of the traditional imperial stout from Zebulon out of the Asheville area. Man, love the super roasted malts of the base beer which naturally gives my palate a dark chocolate flavor. The whiskey barrel is very warming at first but compliments nicely with a touch of booze and vanilla. Finishes incredibly balanced!

    Pizza Boy Brewing (Enola, PA) - Sunny Side Up. Double Coffee Stout. Pretty fresh - canned 6/13/22, really nice espresso aroma on this. Thick and full bodied, but drinks easier than expected for an 11% abv beer.
