Eggenberg hopfen konig 5.1%

This 1 actually has a lil bit of haze to it. First time I had this I was like wtf it turned me off. Definitely doesn't bother me now. I dig the hop profile on this 1.

Farmhouse Cartel. Tequila barrel aged biere de garde from Brewdog.
Had my doubts about this one. It came extra and for free with an online order some time ago. Not bad, but I prefer old fashioned biere de garde (like from Belgium).

The lovely bride and I have been "on the road to nowhere" the last 7 days or so, covering about 30% of the Lake Superior Circle Tour and all of the Lake Michigan Circle Tour. I had planned on stopping for a few beers and trying to find my gramps and grannies home from 60 years ago, needed to see it again because of a few old memories. Some cousins gave me some thoughts for chasing it down. Lo and behold, grannies cottage was a pile of weathered wood, the rubble from house was overgrown with trees, but it was 1/2 mile off M-43, I knew this sounded familiar.

Drinking Jack's Abby Ray Catcher. This is a tasty brew. Please note, despite the hefe-weizen glass, this beer is a lager

 

International train travel in Europe can be a pain sometimes. Connecting in Paris sounds like a round-about-way to get to southern Germany. But when you have a fast train (like TGV) that can be way quicker compared to other routes. Getting to your connecting train in time is crucial however (to stay on schedule).
I'm somewhere in the middle of Germany myself, from Friday-evening.
