Notch Brewing recently brewed French Disko which is a lager brewed with adjunct (corn) and apparently it was a very popular brand for them, fastest selling tap room beer:

Labatt's IPA was 5% and I loved it (and Molson Stock Ale).

The mandatory bottles size facilitated their re-use. This was good for the earth, but bad for marketing.

Don't know Hamm's nor Yards because they are not distributed where I am. But since I am originally from Rochester NY and Genesee Cream Ale is readily available and cheap where I am now, I buy that, Genesee beer and Rolling Rock, as well as a couple a little higher priced but with a bit more flavor like Pabst and Ballantine's. I would buy Carling Black Label and Falstaff if they were still made, and Utica Club if I didn't have to drive an hour and a half to get some. I went back to cheap when the disease closed or otherwise temporarily crippled personal favorites Tree House, Alchemist and Lawson's.. Hard for anyone with limited income to resist $16 for 30 when it costs more than that for a 4 pack of Tree House Haze, and almost as much for Heady Topper or Double Sunshine. And in warm weather or as dinner beers, IMO even at 12 oz. the adjunct lagers are even more refreshing.

Carling Black Label is still made. I did a search on the Beer Menus website and I got this hit:

    "Beer Hut
9911 Northeast Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19115
Beer Store · Menu Updated: 06/30/2022
    12oz 24 Pack Cans $15.99"

    Cheers!

In Eastern Tennessee, $10,99 buys me a 12 pack of High Life, which is still as good as cheap AAL gets, and consistently decent. MGD is better, but more expensive (and still crazy good for the price).

Notch is just killing it with their world tour of lagers. I have the Polish Lager in my fridge right now. And my beer of the year so far is....[IMG]

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts about the Polish Lager. What hop aroma/flavor do you perceive in that beer?

    Cheers!
