Wishing all a great day. I’m up starting the coals for a brisket smoke with a NA black ale from Hairless Dog. Cheers!

'Evening, @Bluecrow, from the great land downunder.

My Friday evening beer is Hoogheid from Vleesmeester Brewery in Belgium. This one was obviously very excited to be in the glass, and even more excited to get out of it. Keenness aside, it was overly bitter and unbalanced for mine, but it still tasted better than being at work!

    Cheers!

Thank you @Bluecrow for the early morning send-off.

Having an Indiana classic brew, toasting the return of Dark Lord Day next year, and package to go sales this year. Hopefully, a taproom will also reappear after three long years.

    Greetings and good day @Bluecrow

Currently visiting a Castle about thirty minutes from here. This morning my car successfully passed its inspection and is safe to drive for two more years.

Drinking a very local blonde, 6%. Tasty stuff but some naughty bugger for a wasp was hanging around us and scared missus too much for a second round. Ah well.

Here’s the usual beer photo and a couple other shots of the castle and its park and garden:

This week has had beautiful weather in MN, a nice respite from the heat.

Having a Revolution Apollo Hero, unfortunately it smells a little old, so won't be reviewing it. Still tastes ok, but not at its best.

    Enjoy your Friday!

Speaking about budget friendly; I was browsing through my recent payments this afternoon. And noticed this small batch I recently bought in Germany was only 13 €/$, the Rothaus six-pack not included. (Price even includes about 2 €/$ for the bottles. That will be returned when I bring them back). So that is on average and roughly 1 €/$ for each beer in this picture.

Pretty decent. Lots of grapefruit and other tropical flavors.

I'm enjoying an unfiltered pilsner from Conshohocken Brewing called Ring the Bell that comes in at 5.2% ABV. It's a bit of an odd duck, lemony hops flavors and an almost creamy feel rather than the expected crisp & clean feel. But it's good. I rated it 3.96, which is a good bit above its BA average of 3.72. Cheers!
