Saturday night here in Oz after a lovely blue, cold and crisp winter's day.

At one stage today a Konig Ludwig Weissbier Hell found itself in my glass and so I had little choice but to drink it!

    Cheers!

Good morning advocates, on this midday here I am opening a Porter and a new to me one that’s turning out to be a semi disappointment.

    Midnight Jack “Porter Tonka”:

Main problem with this one is the terrible lack of thickness and body. I was expecting something more heavy at least, and the flavors are also not omnipresent. Well, not the first time a French Porter or Stout disappoints me for those styles anyway.

    Cheers!

I have been way more social than usual in the last couple of weeks, so my batteries are drained. Recharging with a Saturday off beer, movies and music. A Cloudwater to start out, watching one of the dumbest movies ever made, Kung Pow.

Back from a hike now time for refreshments. I was able to find something different than Bitburger in a supermarket. Cheers

Moving on to some Obscure Swedes, and the last couple of episodes of season 4 of Stranger Things.

Good day BAs! Thanks @AzfromOz for kicking us off - gots to love those suicidal beers that just throw themselves into our glasses! And @belvedere86 - love the flip-top bottles! Any I empty while in the EU somehow find their way into my suitcase and become part of my home-brew cycle!

Looks like another beautiful day here in NW PA - forecast says sunny but chilly - only going to get to 80 today - winter is definitely in the air! Today's New Breakfast Beer:

Distinctly pineapple (A good thing) but where's the coniferous Resin (A bad thing)! Oh well, at least all the Founder's Breakfast Stout I've been drinking has healed my stomach and my recent rift with beer! For Pineapple Resin - rating 3.84, rDev -3.8%.

Jumping in with the first of two planned from the cellar this weekend, from a special Texas brewery.

Full review in the New Beer Weekend #106 thread which I encourage you all to join. Long story short, enjoying the oak and subdued tartness, not sure if I should have sat on this 5 1/2 years, but enjoying nonetheless.

Speaking of Texas, thank you @champ103 for your Houston Italian Beef update! Hope you are enjoying your Southern Illinois vacation (Go Salukis!), and if you have the time, I hope you are able to get to Ava and enjoy a few beers from the very unique Scratch brewery.

Sticking with the "yacht rock" jams of @Highbrow 's Chuck Mangione as I ease into a brand new day.
