I appreciate you sharing your support for S.1663, the United States Postal Service Shipping Equity Act. This legislation was introduced by Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) on May 17, 2021, and has been referred to the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs where it awaits further consideration. The bill would amend title 18, United States Code, and title 39, United States Code, to provide the United States Postal Service the authority to mail alcoholic beverages. Please know I will keep your support for this legislation in mind as I continue my work in the Senate.
