Better make sure that Paulaner isn't old. It is a year round. I saw batches yesterday with a best by 08/22 (year round) and best by 03/23 (proper Okto batch). The fresher ones were behind the old ones.

I say this every year, but Paulaner (Hacker-Pschorr, and Spaten) isn't year-round everywhere -- it depends on the sales off-season that prompt a distro to stock it (them).

Fortunately, all three have clear date codes. Paulaner around here is best-by dated March or April of 2023.

I am just excitedly awaiting Ayinger and Weihenstephaner. Well, and Great Lakes and a few local ones.

I definitely did check before I purchased it as I have seen out of date Paulaner around this area. It is rare but happens. Fortunately for me the expiration date was 5/23 on that bottle so it's a safe bet that was this year's run of it.

In this area we don't get it year-round. The only Marzen I saw all year was from Rothaus.

Interesting. Do you think it was fresh, or leftover from last season?

Drank Ayinger’s and Zero Gravity’s by the pool this past weekend in the stifling humidity.

Somewhat surprisingly, I still haven't seen Ayinger anywhere yet.

The festbier imports have arrived in earnest in DFW. Weihenstephaner (in bottles), Hofbräu, and Paulaner cans are all floating around down here.

Many locals and a few imports up this way, but none of the above anywhere.

Swinging by a couple spots today, so reports could change. Still hoping for Spaten.

No Spaten or HB locally, so far. But I saw Weihenstephaner and Algauer -- and the Sam Adams "Sweater Weather" pack.

That said, couple of locals I'd never tried and couldn't pass up, so none of the above for me.

I just received my weekly e-mail from a local beer retailer. Sam Adams Octoberfest is now available (in my area):

    “12oz 6pk Cans

    Sam Adams

    Octoberfest”

    Cheers!

Ayinger and Weihenstephan are here. I haven't seen Spaten yet. Still hoping for their variety pack, but I am pretty sure that showed up closer to September last year.

Beer guy said he's pretty sure the distro has it, but doesn't know why they haven't released it.
Spaten variety pack? I haven't seen that in years. Paulaner has one that's nice -- good sale price at Binny's, too.

Costco had it last year - 6 lagers, 6 Optimators and 12 oktos.

Wow... might have to hit up my brother. He's the only one I know with a membership.

I know you've all been waiting with bated breath, so I won't keep you in suspense. Rhinelander Oktoberfest is finally here. We have quite a few others as well, plus a few pumpkin beers. As for me, I picked up the new TG Oktoberfest and the Backpocket Clonefest. More to come, I'm sure. Prost!

That photo sure does seem to indicate that Oktoberfest season is upon us.

    Cheers to Oktoberfest beers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I saw that yesterday, too. Dollar more around here. Stack of six cases, and it looked like only one six-pack sold.

You know, I haven't seen Leinenkugel Okto around here at all. They're usually one of the first on shelves.

And only wish I could see Schell.

Hey, what's that big seller between TG and Bell's on the second shelf down?

You probably don't need a membership to buy beer, as in most states it's illegal for them to require a membership to purchase alcohol so yours may be the same.
