Couple of beers by the pool today. Got a couple of Founders 15 packs given the price and the fact that I’ve been getting somewhat tired of the Hazy IPA’s I’ve been drinking.

 

Got a good workout in this morning. Relaxing back at home before I have to go grocery shopping later on. Enjoying a few beers till then.

Perfect summer day today, very little humidity for once.

 

Watching some pro wrestling, so might as well drink some pro wrestler beer. My nephew is a good lad, gave me a couple cans of this beer yesterday.

I love that Rush never took themselves too seriously. This is from the South Park 25th anniversary show the other day. Primus and Matt Stone with Geddy and Alex. First time the two of them played live together since Neil’s passing.

Grace & Grit DIPA 8% - Great Raft

Hey NBS.
Today I turn the page and turn 60 years young. Damn time flies and I certainly dont feel it.
In celebration(I guess) I have a few new beers.
First off is Grimm Scissor Door DIPA w/ Citra, Simcoe, El Dorado and Phantasm - my first beer with this ingredient I believe.
Pours a slightly hazy but not turbid golden yellow with a nice 3 finger bright white head that has good retention and then settles to a thin cap with nice lacing.
Tangerine, guava, lemon, grapefruit and white grape on the nose.
Taste follows with lots of fresh citrus, passionfruit, peach, white grape. Sweet up front but dries on the pithy, winey finish.
Soft and creamy in the mouth. Drinks incredibly easy. Tingling tiny carb throught.
My first adventure with Phantasm.
Pretty damn good.
The glass was a gift from my bro along with this sweet Giants plaque.
