“Each individual 2022 Dark Lord package will contain two different variants. Orders containing multiple packages may have the same variants in each bag.”

so you could end up with 2 x Casino but you’d be guaranteed at least 2 x another variant, if not 2 other variants besides Casino. right?

 

also, is getting “Casino Beached” the equivalent of getting “Turtledogged”???

 

Yes, this is the same as last year. I ended up getting 2 CTM and 2 adultsizedbeverages. The very lucky got 2 handjee, 2 CTM, which is still possible this year, though a bit less likely with the 4th variant.

 

I thought about this also. Thinking they’ll be at least 8 variants next year with it being the fest. This one’s for all you die-hards. Live free but without me!

So I guess you picked up on Sunday like me. Last year was the worst for sure. No Handjee for the last day…….not Floyd’s best look.

 

Pretty sure I picked up early Sunday and got Handjee and CTM

As for this year's package, I am really on the fence.

I finally got to try Handjee last year and loved it. I mean, truly the pinnacle of BA vanilla beers for me.

I'm honestly most interested in Casino Beach, but not sure I'm interested enough. My dream pull would be Handjee/Casino Beach but I'd be pretty unhappy with a CTM/Muerte.

We'll see what my impulse in the moment is.

 

This would be a no brainer if the package was one 12oz bottle of each variant, but I don’t want multiple servings of any of those.

 

I know other people have more (beer) friends than me, but I am constantly surprised by the number of people that want bombers. Variety pack in a smaller size all the way.

 

Death to bomber bottles (650ml) & 750ml bottles. 4 pack of 12oz bottles all the way for all high gravity barrel aged beers... Been said many times & many ways on this site. Why do breweries continue these large format bottles?

 

I kind of like the bomber format still. Maybe it's just my old school nature, but it feels more special opening a big bomber of a prized BA stout than opening a 12oz bottle (I also have an irrational dislike for stouts in cans).

I know it's all mental/irrational, but I do like them still.

Now, if you offered me a 4 pack option of 12oz vs. a 4 pack of bombers, I'd probably pick the 4 pack.

 

In that scenario you'd be silly not to.

 

I usually don't like bombers anymore either, but for some reason Dark Lord is gone before I'm even ready for it to be. Every single time. It's a better beer than its given credit for these days, variant or not.

Some people have indicated they would prefer 1 25oz bomber over 2 12-oz bottles. It hasn’t made much sense to me. Why Would anyone prefer to have fewer choices over more?

Thw “specialness” of the large format I actually “get”, although it doesn’t bother me.

Binny's? This is damn close to the best coffee stout I've had in the last 4-5 years. It's probably pretty even between this and Cafe from Rev.
