    Good morning BAs! Overcast and cool this morning in the country…drinking “High Hopes” a WC style pale ale by Burnt Mill Brewery, Ipswich, UK, hopped with Mosaic, Citra, Chinook, Simcoe and Centennial:

    Pours pale gold with excellent clarity; two fingers of white foam; very good cap retention; heavy ring; bands of medium lace. Grapefruit and orange nose; a whiff of pine as beer warms. Mild grapefruit peel bitterness; lemon; firm malt base, barely any sweetness; piney orange finish. Medium light body, moderate minus carbonation; no astringency; crisp clean feel. Overall outstanding; very well balanced; no off-putting aromas porter flavors from the mosaic; a great tasting WC style pale; I’d gladly drink again.

    The best beer I’ve had so far on this trip to England, really tasty easy drinking take on the WC Pale Ale.

    Good morning to you @DoctorZombies, or as we say in Oz right now, good evening!

    The beer in my glass travelled across the continental United States, over the Pacific Ocean and down the east coast of Australia to find me, all courtesy of my beer pimp @TurkeysDrinkBeer. As per the last time we did this, the beer took longer to travel the last 70km to my house than the rest of the journey combined. Once again I can't thank Steve enough, and if you haven't traded locally with him, you need to be asking yourself why not!

    This beer is a big bitter bomb, but ultimately there's a little too much hop burn for mine. I still loved every bit of it, and am staring sadly at the last 50ml of the beer as I type this. I had originally meant to drink this one on the weekend, but couldn't wait any longer!

    Finishing last night’s Double LP Side A. Mikerphone and Goose Island worked on these together. Plenty of maple, mild barrel presence, and a bit of cocoa. Sweet, tasty, and a big bold beer, which is why I’m still working on it.

    Nice find! I love Burnt Mill. When in the UK I normally ask around in places bottleshops if they have seen any :slight_smile:
    We used to get some here in NL too, but that ended when Brexit got underway.

    Surprisingly we got a cold front and some precipitation. That's a sign summer is starting to let up and fall is coming. Should start cooling down soon.

    That looks badass. I need some Legos! Legos brings back some memories for sure. Loved Legos as a kid. Iv been wanting to do a model car or space ship kit lately.

    They have a space ship kit that’s reminiscent of one from when I was a kid, and plenty of sophisticated car kits these days.
