Glad you found good cask and your WCIPA today @DoctorZombies . My travels continue today, planning on an Italian place for lunch and a couple stops before bringing the nephews to the Strip, Luv It Custard and perhaps other things they like.

Third of four of the coffee schwarzbiers from the room.

    Khoury's Neighborhood CoffeeHaus 2022 - Vesta

Brewery Notes: $16 16 ounce four pack plus tax & tip. 4.8% ABV canned 7/25/22. Refrigerated at the brewery and upon my return to the hotel until now. This is a Schwarzbier. Brewer and canned by CraftHaus Brewery, Henderson, Nevada.

A true local collaboration brewer up between CraftHaus Brewery, Khoury’s Fine Wine and Spirits featuring Vista Coffee Roasters. Your neighborhood represented right here in one ultimate show of community.

Appearance: Multiple pours into a shaker pint glass in my hotel room at The Sahara. Dark brown to black base, creamy soapy head leaves a slight cover over the base and a richer ring. Soapy lacing leaves nice cover over the base, and “tree rings” of lacing marking my sips and gulps. 4.0

Aroma: Dark roast coffee, rich chocolate roast malt. More chocolate and roast malt than coffee in this version. Also lower in strength than the Dark Moon version but still good. 4.0

Taste: Consistent with the aroma, though the flavor is stronger. Sweet roast malt leads, light coffee with cream follows. This version is closest to a traditional schwarzbier, as the coffee is really light. 4.0

Mouthfeel: Heavy carbonation with this one as well, aggressive pour be damned. CO2 shortage my ass. Creamiest and sweetest version of the three I’ve tried, more of a sweet tiramisu than an espresso and buiscuit. Bitterness AWOL, sweet but manageable. Very light and easy drinking beyond the bloating carbonation. 3.75

Overall: This is a good offering, but lacks the strong roast coffee I enjoyed from the Dark Moon and Mothership. Sweet consistent with the style, but not with my preferences. Overall good selection, but Dark Moon still holds pole position with Bad Owl left to try. 3.75

I’ll cash you outside this afternoon.

I found it at a Marks & Spencer, and have seen posts on Untappd saying the same thing. Cheers!

Awesome ! I keep that in mind next time in the UK.
We used to have a Marks & Spencers here in The Hague (NL) too. But sadly they close a couple of years ago.
    Cheers!

That looks awesome!!! I may have to invest in that one as I'm out of projects right now, well done! Is it just me or did they really raise their prices on stuff - everything seems really expensive now - not that they weren't already expensive.

Crystal clear, light gold colored body; coarse carbonation; thin, white head, long lasting. Excellent, light grain aroma with mineral notes and a slight herbal note. Excellent grain-forward flavor with a tinge of cracker; slightly spicy and herbal; moderately intense hop bitterness. Crisp, medium bodied mouthfeel; semi-dry.

This is nice, well-rounded lager. It delivers a light touch of cracker flavor and fairly bold peppery hop presence. Clean and refreshing.

The New Abnormal a 7.8 ABV IPA from River-Horse brewing in NJ. This brew uses Vic Secret, Mosaic and Citra hops added “Using a technique called Biotransformation” I have no idea what that is. The beer is terrific in any case.

Been a while since I've been able to get my hands on some proper craft beers, I'm gonna enjoy this evening.

Firestrata, a NEIPA from Romanian brewery Hop Hooligans (8%).

Overall, this makes for an enjoyable single-hop IPA that shows off the Strata hops nicely.
