    Got me two bottles (sm) of Abt 12 for Saturday. I would have preferred Watou, but I did not want to chase all over the county and the next one searching for it and maybe not finding it.

    I've got a couple of vintages of Abt 12 so I'll have to decide what to crack open.

    If i can find a single I'll partake
    Used to always get them at Sunset Beer..for 5 bucks
    Saw a 4 pack for 20 dollars at whole foods today and can't see.myself ever doing that

    He probably photoshopped the official somber looking church pic. He'd rather be a happy looking, beer toting dude to be on a beer label. :grin:

    Yeah, the news just called me out for being an extremist. Why? I pray the Rosary daily. Can't blame the guy for wanting to recede from society and pray, I'd enjoy it very much, especially as a Trappist.

    I generally only find St.Bs at Total wine these days. If I find myself near one today or tomorrow I might take a peek and grab one, but otherwise I'm probably going to be giving this a miss. It's no biggie, I had an Abt 12 not too long ago, along with a perhaps more famous contemporary.

    I should've prepared sooner looks like I'll have to make a last minute stop by total beverage tomorrow after moving and hope I can find something other than abt 12. It's a good beer but also the only st bernardus I've actually tried yet.

    I have done that comparison a couple of times, and it's a tough call. I have a fresh one of each, so perhaps I should do another comparison tomorrow! I love adding the Rochefort 10 as well - I think that was the winner for me last time.

    Are the canned wit and the bottled wit (not tokyo) the same beer. On their website at least the English version, it looks like the standard wit comes in those bottles or the cans with the nice design on them.
