I know it’s just knee surgery, but my twin is going under the knife today. Not like there’s anything I can do to help if he needs it, but I’m going to take today off of work. Love your siblings, advocates. Cheers.

 

Good morning BAs! Thanks @ChicagoJ for getting us going today. Back in Winchester and took another stroll through the Cathedral this morning. Lunchtime now at my favorite beer bar during “Boom Shak Azacca” a DIPA by New Bristol Brewery in collab with Pipeline Brewing Co.:

Another beer, a collab between Verdant Brewing Co. and Deya:



Motueka, Citra and Mosaic. Skunky onion garlicky nose. Taste is green melon, guava and passion fruit. Taste is great but nose is off putting to me. Cheers y’all!

 

And one for the road (I’m walking @vabeerguy) Farm Yard’s “Impish or Admirable?” Imperial Stout:



Smooth chocolate malt with a hint of roast. No boozy warmth from 11% abv. Cheers y’all!

I assisted in surgeries with a doc all the time and our patients hardly ever complained. 'Course my doc was a pathologist and the surgeries were autopsies... but we never left scars!

Yet another cool and rainy day here on the tundra of NW PA - definitely sliding into winter! Got a semi-pet groundhog I feed freezer-burned veggies (Not the ones I grow in the garden) I gave a pile of old chanterelles last night - he hasn't made an appearance yet. The bitter melons are about 9 inches long - nearly time to harvest them - and the tomatoes are starting to redden - so if the snow holds off another week or two we may get to can some tomatoes.

Today's New Breakfast Beer is one that traveled back from Riverside Liquors outside of Grand Rapids - they'd just moved to their new location and most of the shelves are still empty:



Nice! Sweet potatoes and rye barrels! What could go wrong! Rating 4.12, rDev -0.5%.

 

Good day all! Looks like the western hemisphere is well represented here at the virtual bar this morning. Sitting here enjoying the view in Myrtle Beach, SC. Gonna take the kiddos to a waterpark today. Hope the weather holds out. Priming the pump with this local brew: Tidal Creek Brewhouse Grand Strand. A nice representation of a WCIPA. Cheers!
