    Good day BAs! Well, summer is definitely over here - the zucchini leaves are molding and wilting and the tomatoes are reddening. Time to tune up the snow blower! Hopefully a re-run of last winter's mildness.
    Speaking of reruns, it turns out today's New Breakfast Beer is actually a Blast From The Past:

    Same lot #. Don't know from where this one found it's way into reefer #1 - if some one sent it to me, I apologize for inadequate record-keeping. This bottle has virtually no date flavor but does have some chocolate cherry cordial candy overtones. Still fizzy - five cm head on the first pour. Same score.

    My 15 month old black lab was kind enough to open the six pack while I was at work. She took one can, bit a hole in it and drank god knows how much. :thinking_face: There was half a can left. Some did go in the carpet. Grrrr:angry: Someone remind me why I'm a happy dog owner. I forget. My choice of a mug says it all! :laughing:

    Beautiful looking beer; clear, golden yellow body; scant slow-rising carbonation; thick, billowy head, white and semi-creamy. Soothing light caramel aroma with a suggestion of herbal notes in the background. Outstanding taste; malty with a honey-like sweetness; light bitterness; mild alcohol note. Medium-heavy body; smooth with a touch of velvet on the palate; nice soft residual sugars; slight alcohol dryness at the finish.

    This collaborative bock is a pleasure to sip. Rich and complex with a very pleasing lager smoothness.

    ...Mrs. BeerGoot is going to Salida and Buena Vista today with a couple of friends, Rocket (his ashes) and I are going to spend the day smoking wild caught Coho and farm-raised Atlantic salmon, beer brats, and flank steaks...first up, the salmon (I'll use alder)...wet brined the salmon overnight and now letting the pellicle form before adding a light dry rub of brown sugar, sea salt, black pepper and dill...

    look: 3.75 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

    Pale, hazy yellow body topped with a one-finger thick head, sudsy with a slight creamy quality; partial rings and flecks of foam stick to the glass. Wonderful aroma of lemon and orange juice; soft cereal grains. Standard hazy India pale ale tastes; some citrus notes but more of a ton of hop bitterness; grapefruit pith; raw alcohol notes. Heavy body; velvety; boozy warth and dryness.

    Yes, this is a hazy triple IPA. However, there is little depth or subtlety with the taste. Boozy and bitter.

    Advocates! Hello! Thanks @Ozzylizard for quilting together todays thread. The past week has been hilarious for me. Some work basically fell into my lap so, duh. Worky work it must be. Driving, drumming but now home drankin' a Summit EPA in my cute lil' coozie vest (thanks Mrs. DeWitt). Muggy here today. Rain later I hope. Ran 4.5 miles this morn for fun and it was!     Good choice. I'm currently trying to choose between another Newton's or Space Maìz. I can't figure out which I like better. They are both tasty in different ways.
