For sure! What resort did you ski at?
Living in PHX for 35 years really thinned out my thick MI blood which made last winter a semi-tough adjustment, especially in January when temps were down into the teens once or twice. Da Boss asked how cold the winters were in Banner Elk and there were several occasions in the single digits last year. A gorgeous area that i would not mind relocating to but we will acclimate to the lower altitude of Hendersonville for now.

Sugar Mountain & Beech Mountain. Lot of fun. Wish I had the opportunity to ski out West but it never worked out and I'm too old and far now. Lol!!

 

North Coast Pacific Magic IPA. Man this is just a great IPA.

Spinning Erroll Garner's Concert By The Sea, performed in Carmel California. Not THAT far away on the coast, from North Coast, though like Texas, not that far away can mean like 5 hours ha.

 

I was able to coax a righteous pour out of this one. My favorite beer style - Vienna Lager and the local brewery who does the best job with it - Ironshield Seven Sisters. Cheers!

We are talking about going to Beech Mountain tomorrow for a chair lift ride and some lunch and brews and the resort. Got 1500 feet of up and down on our hike today which is enough manual vertical for a few days LOL!

My Aunt lived for a time in Highlands near Murphy. Which is another beautiful area. I'd move to either in a heartbeat but the climate is not a whole lot different than N.GA.
