Tonight’s Blind Battle Beer Tasting Lineup:

    1) Oskar Blues Mama's Little Yella Pils (4.7%): A Czech-style Pilsner from Colorado with flavors of buttery bread, grains, and yeast. Slightly bitter
    versus
    2) Bells Lager of the Lakes (5.0%): A Czech-style Pilsner from Michigan with flavors of pale malts, bread, and soggy grains.
    versus
    3) Bauhaus Wonderstuff (5.4%): A Czech-style pilsner from Minnesota that has bready and salty flavors with a twist of lemon citrus hops, honey, and bitter Czech yeast. (Correctly identified #3, mismatched #1 & #2 blind)

    4) Maplewood Riwaka Juice Pants (7.0% canned 5/11/22): A NEIPA from Illinois with Riwaka hops for juicy flavors of orange, grapefruit, melon, and tropical berries. Sweet and heavy.
    versus
    5) Untitled Art Hazy IIPA 13 (8.0% canned 5/3/22): A NEIPA from Wisconsin with flavors of lemon citrus, citrus flower, grassy herbs. Yet a soft and smooth mouthfeel. (correctly matched blind)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Winners:

    3) Bahaus Wonderstuff
: One of the best Americanized Czech Pils. Hoppy with great lemon biscuit, honey, and buttery, bitter yeast flavors.

    4) Maplewood Riwaka Juice Pants: This one a strong juicy component from the Riwaka: Citrus + tropical. Thick and sweet. The flavor is there though. Orange citrus plus sweet tropical melon and berry flavors. Maplewood doesn't do much wrong. They have a great reputation in Illinois and for good reason.

Riwaka is a nice hop. One of my local breweries did a single hop pilsner with it. Wish they would do it again.

Brewers Notes: Heat Wave is an amplified rendition of Summer, our summer seasonal Double IPA!
Featuring a large hop dose in both the kettle and dry hop, Heat Wave Carries potent notes of sweet citrus, mango nectar, and honey atop a fluffy base. Though more potent with flavor, it remains soft and enjoyable to drink all the way through the glass - the hallmark of Tree House beer.

We invite you to enjoy it as the sun begins to set on Summer, thus welcoming the autumnal transition to cooler evenings and brighter colors. Enjoy!

Can poured into a willi becher

[IMG] Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass canned on 8/16/22. Pours a very hazy orange yellow, with a finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace with nice retention. 4.5

Aroma is cantaloupe, mandarin, mango, peach, and apricot. 4.5

Taste follows mandarin, cantaloupe, peach, mango, and apricot well balanced. 4.5

Mouthfeel is exceptional as always with them. Bigger than average mouthfeel, soft gentle almost creamy carbonation, not sticky or dry, and 8.8% big flavor, but real easy going down. 5

Overall what a 10 years it has been for them and what a excellent beer to celebrate it with. 4.5

The cherry on top of the Double Thai Day festivities over the weekend, the namesake beer is an ATF for me. Absolutely love it.
