3 Floyds Slapasaurus DIPA. This was brewed on their pilot system. Huge tropical vibes with a bitter finish. Ripe pineapple, ripe mango, mango skin, guava, passionfruit, yellow grapefruit, grapefruit peel, resin. Outstanding. I think this one would do well brewed on a large scale and canned.

Not a bad beer, light and refreshing, to me it’s drinking a bit like a Pilsner.

Right along here ba. Haven’t seen many craft o-fests here, worth grabbing, aside from the Germans, which I plan on getting to. Got a single of this today- Munsterfest, from
3floyds. Rich malt is a good description for this one. Drinks ok but it’s a tad to sweet for me.

Still a little moody and weirded out that at this time last week I was still running Leadville 100.
It really is like a fever-dream. Did I do it? But like most great experiences, I've been marked.

In honor of that one week, one more ORB Leave a Trail.

Thought I'd throw in a shot from the course; me in the orange cap leaving Twin Lakes around mile 40 headed towards oblivion (Hope Pass x 2). This was posted to the raceseries IG account, and managed to poach it.

    Cheers all!

I haven't seen this one available in a couple of years. It is extremely refreshing with a spicy and malty profile. I hope to see more Kellerbiers brewed in the future.

I am listening to the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead concert in Veneta, Oregon on August 27, 1972. This is a great, mixed recording that includes a video of some of the concert. Unfortunately, much of the video is unsightly views of dirty, wild, and naked hippies.:astonished:

I hear this beer used to be something else… Have to say I’ve enjoyed this generation quite a bit. A littler sad this is my last can.

    Equal Parts Brewing -- Loggerbier
    German style pilsner
ABV: 4.9%; pouring temperature: 47 °F: canning info: PILSNERD BB:01/23/23
    Source: @budsNpils (thanks, Dylan)

This beer plainly does justice to the German pilsner style. Refined and nuanced with surprisingly deep complexity for such a simple style.

16 ounce can without a canning date, but we just received a case last week.

    As per can's instructions:

    "Shake Well and Pour Hard!"
2-3 inch off-white head over a hazy amber body with sheeting lace.

    Nose of malt and hops.

Taste of semi-sweet malt, caramel, and honey with a finish of hop bitterness.

Nice and creamy feel; a bit slick and silky.

Overall, this makes me want to sit down at an English pub and enjoy a few cask pours!!

    Cheers!!!

    C&P from NBW #110.

Yep, I was just there this afternoon. Their lagers are excellent. I have had one of their rice lagers, as you have talked about that style before. Which I think is very good as well. They had a "red rice" lager their this afternoon but didn't get around to trying. Hopefully next time...

We’re at our son’s house for dinner. I’m drinking a Pilsner from Durty Bull in Durham while we watch the family dogs play. Chambo’s surprisingly in control.

Always fun to go to their brewery and see the medal collection. Five Phantoms has accrued some good ones.

...if their other lagers are like this pilsner, then Texas has another mighty fine brewery to shout about...
