Favorite beer Color?

Using this example, I voted for #4. Covers most of the beers I drink but to me a pale gold color just looks so good in a glass, filtered or not.

I've never thought about this before, but my eyes just gravitate to that #9, Pale Amber. Of course, it has to be perfectly clear, unlike what the sample shows.

I like a dark brown with garnet hues and a khaki head.

But voted deep gold for oktoberfest love.

 

Deep gold is my least favorite because it’s looks like Tang and is probably a nasty “juice/haze bomb.”

 

4 covers the widest variety of styles that I enjoy.

 

My man, don't let one bad style ruin an entire spectrum of beers!

 

The clarity of that chart isn't very good, but I don't see any #5. Pale amber is #9 to me, although it is the 5th glass from the left. (Coincidentally I'm calling my optometrist today to have my eyes checked, but I just don't see a #5 in that chart.)

Edit - Oh, now I get it. You numbered your poll by the position of each glass starting from the left, so I'll change my vote on that basis.

I'm good with some variations in my IPAs, or to a lesser extent, my lagers, but a stout should be an absolute and resolute black. I also feel the same about Black IPAs - if it's labeled as such, there should be no deviation. Look sets up the experience to follow.

 

Voted #3 (third glass from the left). I'm all for all colors, but a perfectly clear pale color with a hint of gold rings a bell somewhere. Even thought about voting #2

 

Not voting. My favorite beers (IPA, DIPA, imperial stout) usually fall into the SRM 6-14 and SRM 35+ ranges.

 

I went with deep amber (#7). Lots of good stuff falls in that range for me. Ambers, old school IPA's, barleywines, Oktoberberfests, Viennas, pumpkins, etc.

 

What a silly (understatement, I wanted ro use another word, but did not dare to use stup*d!) poll, since I have never tasted any color in my 37 years of beer tasting experience.
It makes absolutely no sense to ask the question. The eye is the sense organ used most often and, therefore, most tricked.

 

3. I have a fetish for straw/pale colored beers.

 

As long as it isn't murky or turbid, it's good with me.
