What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #3602

Good day BAs! Thanks, @JamFuel, for starting today's thread! Heading south before winter, I see. Looks like an interesting beerstube.

Another overcast day as we slide down that slippery slope into winter - I'm nursing the last zucchini along and we've begun canning tomatoes - 5 or 6 quarts every other day for at least another week or two. The peppers are still maturing as are the bitter melons. An additional raised bed for next year is being painted prior to storage. Still picking up a couple of hundred of apples every day. Our groundhog is getting obese for his hibernation. Time to start cleaning the garage so my car can get in and nearly time to prep the snowblower.

Today's New Breakfast Beer is a blast from my pre-BA past:



My only previous encounter with this brew was in 2005, well before joining BA, and so had no review. I’m not a big fan of Tripels in general but this one isn’t bad. Despite the dirty appearance (bottle conditioned wheat beer) and the weak, muddled aroma, the flavor is not bad, and the creamy head is beautiful.

Beautiful day - cool and low humidity - Emma and I got our usual hike in early - now 2 guys are here replacing 7 crappy old basement windows for new glass block windows - should be a nice improvement!

Time to get serious with the pumpkins and marzens - almost September!

Willy Tonka. Tonka, Maple and Pecan imperial stout from De Moersleutel (NL).
Normally not a fan of the sweet stuff, but I do love the combination of maple sirup and pecan. The 13% ABV is nowhere to be found in the taste of this beer. Nice.

Helloooo Advocates! Thanks to @JamFuel for opening todays winding thread of brewskies. Had a good drum gig last night and today our kitchen tile backsplash is complete and we just got 3 yards of Western red cedar mulch deliv'd. Hot & humid here so I absolutely need to start out on the right foot with Schell's Fresh Prints (the artist formerly known as Prints) Cold IPA. Yep. 6.5% ABV is what I need to keep a mellow pace. Keep on smiling! Cheers everyone!
