And the hottest pepper is?

Last year I planted some hot peppers. They were so hot I could not eat them even cut up in a salad. My wife put a few pieces in a big pot of chili she was cooking and they made their presence known even in that small quantity. This year I planted sweet red peppers.

I am sure I do not have to remind you that if you are handling really hot peppers to make sure you wash your hands before you take a whiz. I learned that the hard way.

 

Wondrous Brewing Dream Box DIPA. Wow, three weeks took this from good to great, makes you wonder about the rush to can some of these beers. I know Other Half had a period where nearly everything they canned took a few weeks to mellow out. At any rate, this is (I think) what they intended: an amplified version of OG Alpine Nelson. @Roguer

 

Having a Stone IPA - I was going to have a Tank 7 but half the bottle gushed out when I opened it and made a mess so I poured the rest of it down the drain.

I found this can of Magnify's Stay in Your Lane, a Red IPA, in the back of the fridge. It's held up remarkably well considering it was released in April. Paired great with the mushroom pie.

Reminds me of a story from long ago. I think I posted it on WBAYDN a few times.

Anyway, this young person asked his friend if he ever heard of Paul McCartney? The friend replied yes, he was the guitarist who played with Wings. My guess is some gray hairs on this thread may get the joke. Every one else probably not.

 

This one is pretty amazing with Citra and Rakua 8.3%. It might be my favorite from them so far.

 

Considering I got a 12pk of this deluxe ho hum sauce I suppose I should kill some. SN Liquid Hoppiness Juicy IPA. It's just kind of disembodied. I find it is mildly reminiscent flavor-wise of the Sawyer Chainsaw Squatch IPAs from S. Dakota but not at all as tasty. Cheers!

 

Right along here ba. A marzen from Singlecut. My first time having it and it’s decent stuff. A nice and clean start with complex spiced malts, on the flow, and a smooth finish. Nice notes of caramel, toasted bread, and honey. Despite that, it’s not terribly sweet at all. Nothing game changing but a decent brew and I feel the ba score is a bit underrated.
