Straw yellow body, clear; coarse, slow-rising carbonation; thick head, white and billowy, semi-creamy. Very pleasant aroma; mild malt sweetness carrying a moderately herbal hop scent; very light biscuit. Very light malt flavor; wisp of sweetness; mild to moderate hop bitterness; slight yeasty character. Light body; crisp.

Still a nice beer although the taste seems kind of weak.

Purchased a growler at Coaltrain Wine and Liquor in Colorado Springs.

The pour produced a solid yellow body with a thin but thick and creamy white head; lots of sticky lacing remained on my pint glass. Light malt aroma leaning towards caramel with a faint ester scent; faintly biscuit-like. There is a strong malt flavor with a strong hop bitterness. Almost medium-bodied with a biting hop bitterness on the tongue; crisp and dry.

Prost seems to have nailed this classic style. The beer exhibits a smooth malt presence coupled with a nicely complimentary hop bitterness and feel.

Beautiful kick-off to the long weekend - got a nice hike in early in the cool morning air, and now it's time to settle in for some hardcore relaxation, starting with a light lunch! :beers:

Maine Beer Company Lunch IPA, 7.0% - fresh bottles are always around, but I haven't tried one in years. Wonderful full citrus aroma, leading with soft orange then grapefruit rind, then maybe apricot. Tastes like just what I've wanted when trying a hundred other IPAs - why did I bother? Citrus, a little pine, and no shit is @LarryV here with his Buddha, cause I smell weed! Phenomenal! :fire:

That is good to know. Good price too for that beer indeed.
I guess that Houthakker (Dutch for Lumber Jack) is one of their new projects.
    Cheers

You have probably heard of the Corsican beer Pietra and guess what? I found their (I assume) new beer, an IPA! Next time I’ll purchase it as today was a one and done.
    Cheers.

Not yet, Buddha says it's too early - but later this evening I plan on getting mellow! Lunch is an excellent beer, as are most MBC beers. The only one I've had that I didn't care for was Little Whaleboat, that one just doesn't do it for me. Cheers - will be back later today with a beer in hand.

My yearly visit to the Dermatologist for my annual skin survey. Nothing suspicious, just had a couple lesions zapped with liquid nitrogen.
Celebrating with this fine imperial stout.

Enjoying an old favorite from my hometown brewery, Olde Hickorys Seven Devils. I've been throughly enjoying my classes so far, with my brewing courses not only having one on one instruction, but a whole bunch of new equipment to eventually work with. My instructors a cool ass dude, he was one of the founding members of Flying Machine Brewing out of Wilmington NC.

Having one of my last remaining beers from my favorite brewery, Hammerheart, which is currently on hiatus. They are supposedly going to start a new place in northern MN, but news has been scarce. I've had this in the fridge since at least early this year, still tasting good.
I've got three other Hammerheart beers in the fridge (Gorm, Olaf, Thor's) waiting for some colder weather.
