    It's Friday! Thank God that week's done. Here at least....

    A crappy, windy, cold early Spring day here, but at least it's Spring (you can see the Ornamental Pear in the background of the photo in full bloom after it survived splitting in half over winter), and so I cracked open a bottle of The Mad Elf, by Troegs Independent Brewing, and courtesy of @TurkeysDrinkBeer.

    What an awesome beer. Probably not Christmas drinking down here given last Christmas was pushing 27 Celsius here (~80F) but I reckon I'd have survived if forced to drink one!

    At local brewery taproom Anders Ale. The taproom is only open 3-8 on Fridays, so had to find the time for it. Drinking a Lubecka Lager.

    Good day BAs! Thanks to @AzfromOz for starting us off! My groundhog buddy was sitting in my backyard eating an apple at 0700, so it looks like a good day thus far. We'll probably can some more tomatoes later and I've got a recipe I want to try with the end of my bitter melon harvest (next year I'll try a different variety). This year there was a marked deficiency in pollination - apparently I managed my milkweed crop too well...

    An oldie that's been setting in Beer Reefer #1 for almost nine months - finally got around to drinking it. Decent but nearly odorless impy stout. Rating 3.76, rDev -11.1%.

    Drinking a Bilbao Oro, a pretty nice amber lager with a creamy foam and mouthfeel like most draft beers here in Spain. This brand is also owned by Damm.

    Drinking a Je m'appelle Saison, a Saison brewed with pink peppercorn. Absolutely delicious!

    Happy Friday to you Advocates! and thanks @AzfromOz for unleashing the fury of todays thread. Had a late night garage band rehearsal last night and my buddy Citizen Bob produced a crowler of one of the best Hazy IPAs I think I've ever had and I haven't had a beer I didn't like from this brewery: Barrel Theory Handful Of Stars Hazy IPA 7% ABV. Nelson Sauvin & Riwaka Hops. Incredibly pleasant tasting, feeling, smelling and looking. WOW! I need to get my ass over to that brewery. Cheers! and lets have a great weekend!

    Last beer at Anders. Probably. A guy drove an hour to buy two cases of this, Red Rocket red ale, so I had to try it. Very nice red ale, would absolutely have it again!
