I borrowed that from other traders who said it might prevent any cap leakage if the bottle is on a plane and gets air sick. Whether it helps or not, err urr.

Interesting. I guess anytime I’ve spoke on the subject it’s been more with regard to personal experience. I.E. I’ve never drank anything I thought got better with age. I would definitely be eager to try something again that’s been aged, especially in excellent cellar conditions. Cheers.

Burnt sugar, toffee, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, coconut, bourbon. Remind me again why this isn’t one of the best stouts in the world?

Quadruple Shot. @Resistance88 it's worth checking out. It's sweet like high gravity sweet, but not adjunct sweet. Tick that shit. The mouthfeel is super thick.

100%. Willettized is a tremendous value. It's better than 95% of all BA stouts at a fraction of the price.

Who said it isn't? It very obviously is one of the best stouts in the world.

i feel like BCBS takes a lot of shit because of who owns Goose, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s one of the best (if not the best) mass distributed non-adjunct BA imperial stouts. if only they would go back to the 4pks of 12oz bottles but what’re you going to do there?

been a minute since i had Lagunitas Willettized, i should keep an eye out for that one.

Didn't I see something about them bringing back the 12oz. bottles?

    Is this for real?

They should read the masthead of this website: Respect Beer

Another outstanding BA Stout out of the Chicago area, Buckledown's Significant. Weighing in at 11.5%, this baby is black'n chewy. Snot machine says roasted malts and booze. Taste buds agree, throwing in some caramel a bit of cocoa. I'd really like to find a 4 pack of this.

I'm with you. I have never had a BCBS that I didn't love. I do miss the 12oz bottles though. I was really bummed when they transitioned in 2015. The core 4-packs were just so great - regular, barleywine, and coffee.

then they basically did away with barleywine and coffee!! at least pure versions of them.

Barrel-aged stout from Blindman Brewing in Alberta, Canada. Aged for 201 days in Elijah Craig bourbon barrels. Damn, this is just a wonderful marriage of barrel and base stout. Tons of roasted malts and tobacco mixed with the sweet vanilla and toffee from the barrel. I wish this was available here - might be one of my favorites.

Made grocery run last nite and saw this sitting on the shelf, Shortfuse Tolling Bell BBA Imperial Rye Stout. Never had much use for their 'core beers', but the stouts and porters are generally really good.

Round Guys Brewing (Lansdale, PA) - Russian Messenger. Pretty good no frills imperial stout - dark chocolate and coffee flavors, roasty, fairly dry finish. full bodied.

Here’s a Cigar City Brewery Exclusive Release. 12.4% ABV.
12 oz can poured at 53° into a Cigar City Brewing snifter. Nice inch of thin foam rises and departs.
Smell is cherry cola and prune, dark roast malt.
Taste is good base Stout, no barrel aging, Cheerwine (look it up.,) pops in right up front, I couldn’t find any coconut though. Little burn at finish.
Feel is slickly smooth, very drinkable.
Overall, this Stout feels incomplete - maybe a barrel aged version would accent the subtleties that I think are in there, somewhere.
