Tree House Whisper on this fine evening. Doing my last night of cramming and then get to enjoy a nice evening tomorrow night without studying.

Alright, went down the road to another spot that I love. Though don't come nearly as often as I should. A tiny old school farm to table restaurant, and one of the places that made that an actual thing in Houston in the first place, all those years ago.

Roost...their menu changes basically weekly. So glad this place is still around.

Had a few Lone Pint Jaberwocky's. A pretty good DIPA.

And a fantastic Banger's and Mash. With house made rabbit sausage.banger's.

This is one of those places I just don't want to leave...so had a Vietnamese coffee (there is, of coarse, a Vietnamese place down the road that roasts their own coffee and sells it here).

Thank you, sir! The tooth hurts, but the beer helps! I'm hot, but the beer helps. I'm starting to detect a trend....

I am a big Hoppyum fan. One of the first brews I look for when I visit NC (usually OBX, NC).

A pic from April at the sound side. My lovely bride and I are headed back to OBX the first week in October and I can assure you Hoppyum will be on the menu.

    Cheers my friend.

It's boiling hot out, so a BA imperial stout is an obvious remedy. Barrel-aged imperial stout in Elijah Craig barrels for 201 days. Blindman Brewing in Alberta, Canada. Incredible beer! Cheers all.

Cool - Haven't seen that show in ages. Liked it as a kid.

Thanks, Alchemist is the primary reason I want to hit Vermont beyond some hiking.

I'm grateful we get beers from solid Maine Breweries (MBC, Oxbow, Allagash) here. We sadly don't even get one off drops by The Alchemist, Lawson's, Fiddlehead or Hill Farmstead. I'd want to hit all four of those breweries over 3-4 days.

Loved hitting these three states (VT, ME and NH + Quebec) back in the day, but sadly the trips were before I knew anything about craft beer. I only drank whiskey or bourbon, plus gin in the Summer.

After going to all (4) of my beer "go to" stops tonight looking for Stone 26th Anniversary, it's clearly evident that Northeastern PA is NOT the center of the [beer] universe. :sob:

Saint Arnold H-Town Pils. Always a great local lager.

Bobby "Blue" Bland Two Steps from The Blues. Recorded at Houston's own Duke Records, and one of the all time best blues/soul albums. That influenced everyone from BB King and Ray Charles (they both played with Bland around this time in Houston, Nashville, and New Orleans).
