    Happy Saturday everyone!

    It was a big sporting day here in the land Downunder, with my daughter's netball club playing preliminary finals in nine different grades today from under 13s through to senior A Grade (the best non-professional level you can get). In Oz, a preliminary final is traditionally the game you need to win to get into the Grand final. So the good news is my girl's team won, the bad news is she tangled legs and went face first into the hard court about a minute in and that was the end of her day. Still, it's the grand final next week and you've gotta be in it to win it!

    Tonight's beer is Unicorns and Rainbows, a DDH IPA from Mountain Culture, Australia's IT Brewery of the last 12 months. For mine, it was victim to over-hopping, which led to strong diesel and hop burn notes. But a bad beer doesn't dampen what's been a successful day so far. Now to watch the footy on TV, yell at the screen for a couple of hours, and go to bed knowing all is well with the world. Well, my little corner of it anyway.

    [​IMG] Good Day Mate, how about another shrimp on the barbie? Kicking my Saturday off with some Trillium. This really surprises me, 4 years ago it was amazing. Now it is pretty good, I am sure it is my palate. Cheers all.

    Going for a real late night BA just finished driving back from Cheyenne, after being in Denver a few hours before that. Now it's time to kick back and get ready for bed with a Founders Dirty Bastard wee heavy scotch ale.

    Good day BAs! Another cool, damp, sliding-into-winter morning here on the tundra of NW PA - so cool and damp that I haven't seen my groundhog yet. I guess he's practicing hibernation before the real thing in a short time. Still picking tomatoes (today'll be another canning day) and PATIENTLY awaiting the ripening of the peppers.

    Thin as a lager but otherwise pretty tasty - I can actually taste the vanilla in this! Rating 4.09, rDev -2.9%.

    Mild balanced flavors. Light spicy green chilies linger. Thin for 13.7%…still, grateful to be home and getting back into my routine…
