    Good morning Sunday advocates!

So far it’s not been the worse week of my life, we have been going on various excursions and visits around the island Crete and have been enjoying mostly Greek macros but as I said, walk a mile here under this heat and they will taste fresh and good nonetheless. Haven’t had much luck with that many craft outside of a one day stay in Heraklion but I cannot burn all my vacay budget like that.

4€ for a fine Alfa on the beach on draft and in 500ml is a difficult deal to beat. Prost!

Today will be more relaxed, some walks and strolls around the town before a big excursion tomorrow.

Back from an early morning MTB ride. Probably cleaned the trails from all the spiderwebs...

Now it is time to undo the burned calories. Cheers

Should be a movie: "An American Trappist in Belgium" starring Cary Grant and Grace Kelly"., just for fun.

Time for another Trappist. Also supporting charity by drinking these. 8)

Good morning BAs! Dogs walked and fed, kitchen cleaned…it’s coffee time - FBS:

Bottled 1/19/22. Poured at 54°. Coffee still tasty at 8 months.

It’s hot and steamy now, with rain forecast later. I’ve plenty of chores around the house to catch up on, so another quiet day inside most likely. Cheers and have a swelter-free Sunday y’all!

Good day BAs! Thanks @Shanex for starting today's thread - @AzfromOz must have slept in!

Woke up to rain yet again - definitely moving into winter! Still picking tomatoes to can and waiting on some warm dry days to allow the peppers to ripen. The groundhog is so fat he looks like a wolverine loping across the back yard. This cooler weather will allow me to start reloading some 44 mag and 9mm rounds since I do it in my temperature non-controlled shed.

Today's New Breakfast Beer, soon to be a cross-post with NBS/NBW:

    Nice! An English-style barleywine - rating 4.37, rDev +3.8%

Sometimes you have to take things in your own hands when you see a new product out you aren’t sure you’ll get to try:

No maple involved in this pairing that isn’t really intended to mimic the new DFH WWS variant, but accidentally works towards that concept.

Pumking. It’s the only pumpkin beer regularly stocked at my local packie, and reliably consistent (and weighty enough, at that) throughout the years. And barring the few pumpkin stouts that I’ve enjoyed, it’s the only pumpkin-anything that regularly sees the inside of my fridge.

    Cheers!

I had to use my connections to source a beer from WV. I heard it was one of the harder states to get.

A few catch up posts from me. Yesterday and last night, was at Southern Yankee Crafthouse in Houston. Had some new beers.

    Ich Bin Paul Marzen/Oktoberfest.

HeyYeaYea Double/Imperial IPA. With Denali and Mosaic hops.

Both a pretty solid B+ offerings. Reviews over at the NBW thread. Along with a massive plate of amazing Fish & Chips. Oh and a Who's Paul Pale Ale. While, I'm Paul, and the running joke is, their is always a new Paul beer for me to try when I come in ha (this time was the Marzen)

Also at Southern Yankee, I had their Flex Squad Belgian Quad. Which is always really good.

After Southern Yankee, went over to the near by Hermann Park. They do free concerts in the park every year at the Miller Outdoor Theater. Which is not a Miller stadium, but named after a Houston engineer. The theater is 99 years old, and its always a blast to hang out at. The park is huge, so spent some time wondering around and finding little nooks to sit and read before the show started.

First, got to see the Sam Houston statue.

Then at a park bench by one of the ponds. Crazy ducks just wander up, expecting food ha.

And then to Miller Outdoor Theater. I couldn't remember if they had beer at the concession window, and wasn't expecting anything good if they did. Though, what do you know, they had Saint Arnold Art Car IPA :sunglasses:

Went to go see Somi. Who is one of my favorite jazz singers. Also in the band is Otis Brown III on drums, and he is on the short list for best modern drummer playing right now IMO. Somi's new album is a tribute to the South African singer/songwriter and political activist Miriam Makeba. It was a beautiful night.

Probably take a lunch at or near one of those elusive WV beer joints. But for now, the cooler temps here have me desiring a fall beer:

Union Craft’s version of Fest Beer is fitting the bill nicely. Now if we could just get things to dry up a tad.
