I really need to try this one, especially since I've been trying to support them lately.

Is it still available? Not listed on their website.

    I saw it at Wegmans.

I tend to prefer when they are "blended" with other styles, I guess you could say. DFH Punkin Ale and Warlock are two examples. I also think Elysian does some good stuff here. Punkuccino is a favorite. I also liked their Dark o' the Moon. It's not quite as good as Warlock but as far as pumpkin stouts go it's pretty close. Even the standard pumpkin ale Night Owl I enjoy. Once upon a time I also enjoyed Spooky by Blue Mountain quite a bit but they pulled out of this area years ago.

I appreciate a really good pumpkin beer, but for me it's a seasonal appreciation. I'm seeing a lot of people get them already, but it's a little too early for my liking. Probably because it's still 100 plus degrees where I live lol. A pumpkin Brew is something I like to enjoy in front of a fireplace, or with a hoodie on.

I always make sure to drink at least a few DFH punkins each year; it’s always a tasty beer to drink.

I plan to revisit some other ones this year too.

Recent purchases for me include Evil Genius Trick or Treat pumpkin porter and Great Divide pumpkin. Both good.

Shipyard smashed pumpkin (not pumpkin head) is one of my all time favorites. I also enjoy the Saranac pumpkin whenever I can get my hands on it, hopefully soon!

Been looking for Maple Mistress, but have yet to find it in my area (Easton/ P'burg). But, it's still early. . .

I got mine in Morgantown, PA and have seen it in a few other places around here. Probably doesn't help you much though!

I think you would be a lot happier if you posted more of your own thoughts and spent less time criticizing others. Don't be a grumpy Gus

It was posted it news and announcements and I was trying to figure out if I was missing something obvious as I often do.

Does an Imperial Pumpkin Spice Porter count? I was unsure about this one but it turned out quite good. It was barrel aged in rye whiskey barrels for 15 months.

Agreed. October at bare minimum. The horror. The horror. That said, I’m drinking a Prairie Artisans Basic Rebecca. It’s ok. Not worth the high price tag IMO, but the barrel, pumkin, spices, and stout all come through clearly. For the money, Warlock is a better bargain if you want a spicy fall stout.

If can find it, try Whole Hog’s version. It’s terrific.

I thought so too. But it works and works well. Porter beer base was the perfect choice, stout would have overwhelmed the other characteristics of the beer.
