Winter Beer Sightings (2022)

I'm still wearing shorts.

 

Winter beer in September is not surprising these days. I personally haven’t seen any myself yet, but I’m sure it’ll be out real soon. Like back to school in June.

 

Celebration is always scheduled for October. Usually shows up for me a few days before Halloween.

 

I think great lakes dropped barrel aged christmas ale 2 months ago.

 

Marketing ploy for "Christmas in July," no?

 

I do believe.

 

It's still summer.

 

Wake me up when it’s BOCK season!

 

And we still have another season to navigate before winter!

 

Yeah, next week marks the autumnal equinox - let's not start talking about winter beer when it is still summer, jeez

 

FWIW -- I just stepped outside to prep the grill for dinner. It's 75 and sunny in Northeastern Illinois -- and the cicadas are still singing -- my biggest barometer for it still being summer.

Until they're quiet, no winter talk for me!

That was my knee-jerk reaction on this chilly morning. (39 degrees here)

 

But it's not winter, right?

 

I'm already using my winter coat, really chilly in the morning! So the winter beer thing isn't totally alien.

 

Well, dude -- you live where reindeer are common -- don't you just have two seasons; winter and not winter?

 

Reindeer are 1000 kilometers up north, your Gulf stream keeps weather ok though, on the chilly side 8 out of 12 months, but we usually have four seasons!
