It's been a very long time since I've had a Prima Pils.. I can't seem to find it NY. I picked some up on a recent trip to Pennsylvania. I know they changed the formulation, but it's still very good.

Enjoying a few weeks off between jobs, I had a new poem published in a journal today, and SC Freiburg are up 2-0 at the half. No complaints here.

Weird buying Tired Hands in retail in NJ. Jean is a cretin, but Alien Church is still quite good. To paraphrase Oscar Wilde: there is no such thing as a moral or an immoral beer, beers are well made or badly made. That is all.

I'd be wary of doing a Google search for "Swing Lube."

No beer just yet for me. Only beverage has been coffee, although I drank it from a vessel obtained at a local brewery.

Today's my Friday, so beer will definitely be consumed this evening after I get off work.

Slushy XXL: Birthday Cake Crunch from 450 North. Super not worth the single price of 9 bucks but not shocking when you see the ingredient list. Reeks of pure banana pudding and the first sip was weird but as it drink it its all coming together better than I expected.

Hello Advocates and virtual bar! Thanks @SawDog505 for todays thread. Another grab-bag of a day here. My ah ha moment yesterday was that I'm way behind with beer reviews. Even common stuff. The plot thickens...Samuel Adams Boston Lumberjack. A smart tasting beer and very good. Cheers!

Taking a break from laundry and garage cleaning…on the patio with a beer from perhaps my favorite NY little brewery - Common Roots Brewing Company, South Glens Falls, NY, “Double Pillow” DIPA:

Lemon peel, orange, tangerine, guava, passion fruit; firm malt base; no bitterness. Medium body, totally poundable. I love this little brewery! Cheers advocates!

Well, the White Sox are in Cleveland, and La Russa is in Chicago, so everyone is having a good day today except Tony. I can live with that.

Yup, I sure wish I could buy KBS at the next supermarket, or at all, for that matter. Looks like Founders stopped distributing to Germany (or Europe?) for some reason. Their stuff used to be really easy to find a few years back, even CBS, but since about 2 years ago it's just not on the shelves at all anymore. How about the Netherlands, still around over there?

I still find it hard to believe he's an MLB skipper. He's, what, 100 at this point?

A pleasant enough “late summer” afternoon … it’s 88° and overcast with a breeze…I have the garage open while I wash clothes and put stuff away…an IPA for my efforts:

No pic but (I promise) I was just at the Crooked Hammock Brewery at Barefoot Landing, SC and had their Luna Lightning - superb.

The end of the article says: "The only way the culture’s going to change is if the money faucet stops."

Also People can learn from past mistakes. Last I checked nobody was perfect and we all have skeletons in our closets. I'm not defending him, it sounds like he acted like a horrible boss. but just because a "well respected worker for 3 years" says they haven't done anything to make changes, does not mean that is the truth. Sounds like they all still have a lot of work to do on both sides of the isle at Tired Hands.
