Modern Times “Chameleon Suit” Hazy IPA, w/Nelson, Mosaic, Motueka, and BRU-1 hops. @7.2% ABV.

So I wasn’t planning on posting much this weekend but things sometimes change. My daughter has Covid-19 with mild symptoms. She hates missing school, but is more upset about homecoming tomorrow night. I was supposed to head on a business trip to Clearwater on Sunday. My wife & son were going to make a vacation out of it and I was staying an extra day with them. I was going to hit Cigar City to grab some 4 packs, especially Good Gourd for an annual pumpkin beer tasting with friends. We are all bummed. Luckily my daughter isn’t feeling too bad.

 

Had been under the weather. Tested negative for COVID. Nothing like feeling happy you had some other cruddy bug making you feel like crap.

This beer is pretty good. Ragged Island Beach Night IPA from Rhode Island.

 

North Park Beer CO’s Parktoberfest, which is a festbier style. Really like it. Little more malt character than most fest beers but not a marzen style either. Kinda the best of both worlds. And they didn’t hop it up like to many American breweries.

Czechvar, Budweiser and local New Realm United Craft Lager. It's easy to separate the Czechvar from Bud. More aroma, more full bodied and plenty of Saaz hops character. The Bud & United were a little tougher. Visually, the Bud was clearer and had better head retention. But the United had more aroma, a little more bitterness and a drier finish.
