    The girlfriend and I had a big holiday beer tasting planned. Still will try some stuff, but the tone of the evening has unfortunately changed. My grandmother passed away this afternoon. I was heading out for the holidays tomorrow; one day later and I would have been able to see her beforehand, which is heartbreaking.

    Grandma wasn't much of a drinker (but a hell of a gambler!) but I'm toasting to her memory, and her incredible, inspiring life with a Brew Kettle Winter Warmer for now.

    Nooner Batch was a good sour
    Sun Explorer Tart Cherry BA Stout was excellent
    BA Fast Breaker coffee stout was without a doubt my favorite of them all.
    Good time had with some excellent BA's
