NBS BIF #16 Sign Up Thread

We are peas in a pod. I do the same. Most recently I’ve been fascinated by the Faroe Islands. In fact, right this minute I’m wearing the t-shirt I bought just a few weeks ago of their coat of arms:



The other rabbit hole I like to go down is Tristan da Cunha. I find that place fascinating.


I have a contact who knows a guy working in the Northwest Territories. He has made a couple beer trades with him and offered to get me some bottles next time he does this. I will plan to spread that wealth when it arrives. Sadly no Eisbocks though…

Yeah, first one! Due that first week of October, though there's been a couple of scary moments the last few weeks so maybe she ends up an end-of-September baby. Either way is good: she's hit the developmental milestone ages, so as long she shows up when SHE wants to, not when we're told she has to, that's kind of where we're at with it.
If @Roguer would ever tell us when this thing gets going, My first set of hints might even be from the delivery room!

Yeah, people keep telling us we're totally set since we're both pediatric nurses, but there's a huge difference between caring for them in a medical setting (and being able to walk out the door in the morning), and having it be your own, and being responsible for it 24/7 for the next... indeterminable amount of future, ha!
Thank y'all. We're pretty damn thrilled.

 

I appreciate the very grounded, humble, approach. But to take a longer view, you have been with this from YOUR creation of the NBS BIF, you have a long history on NBS and its subsequent form NBW, and well...We've welcomed plenty back in who have been very involved, dropped off a tad, and then returned.

I went down the same rabbit hole after reading this.

Awesome, and a callout to all the other BIF participants and associated riff-raff that this is as good of a reason as we'll ever have to band together to destroy somebody's porch.

This x 1000. Terry, you could not post in NBS for 5 years and you would still qualify for this BIF.

 

See, this is exactly why I was hesitant to join in and/or say anything, but my wife assured me it would all be fine

I have to wonder how many of the participants have not had a beer from some of the tougher states, like South Dakota? I may be able to make a run there in October if so. I know I helped some in a previous NBS BIF.
Wondering this while I am inputting beer reviews that I posted on UT, but not here.
