finishing up Anabasis b6 bottle after having a pour Friday night and Saturday night. i think last night (2nd night) it was at its best but it’s still tasting great today. simply re-capped and stored in the fridge. today’s pour had been sitting out for almost an hour before pouring.

Just left, as had most others. Neither DM nor BACV had been crossed from board.

negative. i was probably 30th in line and vanilla was gone by the time i was up to order.

 

Sorry I couldn't make it up there in time. Golf went a little later than I expected.

 

Only once a year or maybe every 2 will something like this affect me. Buuuut, as someone that years ago used to stand in line for all sorts of things (including consoles waaay back when), I'm always flat out irked when something is said to be available, but it is gone super quick (and quicker than expected). If you're going to have 15 available, I wish they'd just say that. It's not like they don't know - they do. I know why they don't - it draws people in. But it's incredibly frustrating. If I drove 2-5 hours, even if I wasn't far enough in line to get one, at least if I knew that when I arrived (instead of once I got inside), I wouldn't be so grumpy about it, because I knew all the details, and I chose to go even knowing that. At that point, the control is in my hands with full information. -And, I think if I remember correctly, people have talked about times where a bottle that was announced to be available - they only had like 3.

Maybe other beards with necks aren't as frustrated about this type of thing as I am. Just one of those simple things that I feel like would make a lot of people happy, and isn't likely to affect the bottom line much at all.

i hear thee but they ain’t gonna make it that easy for us lol. i was there at 1:45 and that’s only because i was ahead of schedule (thanks to the nice guy at TWCP-more on that later) but was originally planning on being there at 2:15, which i felt was well enough time given a Monday afternoon. oh well. did end up getting to the the vanilla DB thanks to a generous dude who was looking to try port.

I don’t plan on having to deal with this again (being in LC and just not nearly as excited about beer as I used to be), but I would cause a scene with no F’s given if I was getting cut. Like as soon as I see cutters I’m just walking up and cutting them even if I’m in the back of the line. It’s crazy to me that people just let this slide if there’s a chance you won’t get what you came for because of cutting.
