No, it’s because the quality of aged imperial stouts (and beer in general) is so consistently good and available 96.8% of FOMO has died off. Missed out on a release? Which of the other 40 breweries in the area is releasing a good one next week?

Stop acting like an adult and trying to talk sense. For God's sake, man, this is a beer forum!

If I had to guess the vegan marshmallows they used I would think these:
    https://dandies.com/dandies-marshmallows

They are a Chicago based company. I have had them and they taste just as good as non vegan marshmallows.

Thank goodness. I feel horrible eating regular marshmallows knowing that hunters have virtually wiped out the wild endangered marshmallow and can’t eat the the farm raised marshmallows in good faith knowing the horribly cruel conditions they are brought up in before an inhumane slaughter to go to market.

All Non-casked Half Acre beer are vegan due to them not using gelatin or isinglass in their brewing process. Regular marshmallows have gelatin in them. Though not a vegan, if I was used to Half Acre beer being vegan and saw marshmallows I might be skeptical of if I could drink it. By saying they are vegan marshmallows then people who have that as their dietary preference won’t have to ask.

For anyone stopping by today, they have it on draft (per usual) but also have it on nitro. My lawd, you need to try it on nitro.

Agreed! I did a side by side of regular & Nitro Shook. It was a good experience for sure!

Before Land Shook...oh my, this is a delicious treat.

Rich vanilla, milk chocolate & mild wood/bourbon notes. Silky, luxurious mouthfeel.

It's sweet but not over the top.

Home run from Half Acre, here. Would pair well with chocolate truffles. Just sayin'...

A new (keg collar) COLA for another BA Stout, Sickle Through Sable. A BA Stout with Cocoa Nibs. Might this be the next BA Stout release? They did say they were bringing out some cave stouts.

With the talk of speculative future projects, I will also bring up that when I picked up and was enjoying the nitro (lawd have mercy) I saw a barrel labeled as a barleywine in a 7 year Weller barrel, that had been filled in April 2022. Guessing we won’t see that one until next fall, but count me in for more BA barleywine from HA after the Rev collab!

I mean, Founders literally aged (assumed still ages?) KBS and other BA beer in mines - basically a cave. But it's HA, so it's likely to be some form of intentionally vague, hyperbolic prose.

For me a cave stout is any stout I tell myself I’m not going to purchase and wind up purchasing.

Not that anyone cares, but the primary difference between a cave and a mine (as far as the aging of a stout is concerned) is that a mine is going to be much more variable temp wise. Greater highs, lower lows, wider swings, more frequent swings. Unless they have one of them thar mines that is miles underground and/or the mine has doors on it. (There's a mine in S Indiana that is used as a storage facility. It has a door. It's essentially a temp-controlled underground warehouse.)

    Occupational hazard...
