    Greetings advocates from whatever corner of the world.

    I have purchased a couple of beers today and strangely have found this one Westmalle Extra, and wrongly assumed it was somehow a recent release. Nope, been around for many years looking it up in the BA database.

    It’s a Belgian pale ale, very low ABV (4,8%).

    Best before date is April 2024. Hoppy, very much “light” and refreshing. Great one, especially for drinking in the late morning here.

    Second beer and another “Xtra” from Kasteel this time and like the above very much low ABV. Good stuff again.

    Canned 7/13/22. Poured at 56°. Boozy bourbon coconut chocolate delicious!

    Our area has a “mandatory” evacuation order to leave this morning. I have a couple more storm shutters to put up, and a few sand bags to arrange. Hopefully Mrs. Z will arise and help pack some food and dog stuff for our little drive…still lots to do…we should be on the road by noon…looks like a big one is headed this way…

    Double Homestyle from Bearded Iris (Nashville).
    Completely missed Bearded Iris when I was in Nashville a couple of years ago (for work, so options were limited anyway). Surprised it is here (NW Europe)in the supermarket now in small batches.
