Shocking that you would bitch about something that you had nothing to do with. Again.

I know you either never or rarely come to SP, but if you did you would know it’s usually a case or so of bottles. Always is when it’s a previous release like this.

There were 4 previously released beers today. If you want your own bottle of each you need to be there early and have a few friends to each get one (it’s one bottle per).

We happily shared from the 3 bottles (Stagg, Vanilla, and RBBT) we had with people who missed.

following up on the “nice guy from TWCP” comment. as everyone that participated in that release knows it was a complete clusterfuck. i had been coordinating with a buddy of mine the day before to make sure he chose the same location as me. i got in, picked Forsyth, completed my transaction and the confirmation email said “Kirkwood” location. so i had my buddy change his to Kirkwood. well, of course they had his at Kirkwood and mine at Forsyth but dude was super cool and let me pick everything up at Kirkwood instead of having to make 2 trips. very much appreciated.

as far as the DBDs from yesterday:

double willett double vanilla by a long shot. stagg and port were about tied for me. the stagg got a little better as it warmed. the port got a little more intensely port-y as it warmed so i liked that one a little better chilled. at any rate, the vanilla worked because something needed to be in there to cover up the massive barrel on those beers.

oh, and Rye BBT 2020 was pretty meh with age on it. barrel had toned down nicely, which was much needed when it was fresh, but it seemed a little bland and less chocolate-forward than i remembered it tasting.

i didn’t update my initial review so i didn’t even think about what i would have rated it. and even though i probably tend to overrate most beers that i drink (what can i say - i love beer and i try to drink good beer!), i don’t think i’ve ever given a beer a straight 5. unless you were referring to untappd check-ins which i don’t do. i still got a good laugh though!

"We have had a few instances of customers and/or proxies coming in to the Manchester location to claim their Side Project orders even though they requested to pick up at another location. The auto-email that was sent to you to confirm your order is ready has the Manchester store's address at the bottom because it is the main store, but that does not necessarily mean your order is at that location. Unless you emailed us to change the pick up location, your order is ready at whichever store you originally chose when you placed the order! Hope this helps. Thanks again for your business, and for your patience with this release!

yes, except that how are we supposed to know what store we chose (or thought we chose?) when the email says differently. idk bout ch’all but my head is like spinning after those online releases. so even though i was 99% certain i chose Forsyth, when the email came back Kirkwood and even though it made me feel like i was taking crazy pills, my only response was “fuck me, guess i chose Kirkwood.” gotta believe the machines (email confirmation) right?

Your emails could have certainly been different, so I'm not saying you got the same thing, but when I got the second email stating the order was ready for pickup, it literally had the location in the subject line of the email. I picked the South Hampton location and it said "Your Side Project is ready to pick up at Spirit Wine and Craft on Chippewa." And the second line of the actual email also re-stated the same thing. But then the Kirkwood location address is at the bottom of the email, so I can see how people were getting confused.

Plus a Dry Hopped Le Saisonnier and a new blend of regular Le Saisonnier.

Super curious to try that dry hopped Le Saisonnier, all the dry hopped saisons have been great so far. Also looking forward to bottles of that new Single Farm that was the Zwanze welcome pour

it’s possible i missed this in that follow up email. also, dude said all emails have Kirkland address at bottom because that’s the main location. and here i always thought Forsyth was kind of the mothership.

Honestly was just a UT joke. I didn't recall your RBBT score although I did remember reading the review. Don't worry, you weren't the reason I went ham going after that.

    Nice!

Cracked the new Merci last night, absolutely loved it. Had a nice citrus pith character, light tartness on the finish, little bit of funk on the nose. Definitely nowhere near the acid levels of b3 / b4.

Since I missed Fermier Day was definitely an embarrassment of riches picking up that, Tete, OF, CdC & SdF PN all in one go. Looking forward to trying the rest
