    What does this mean? Possible answers include:

    • Top 5 I want to visit
    • Top 5 I spend time in
    • Top 5 that I think have the best beer
    • Top 5 that I think produce the best on average

    These aren't the same for me. Not even close.

    Munich, Brussels, Denver, and Portland. Those are pretty easy. Bamberg is definitely there if you count it as a "city." Ft. Collins, too. If not, San Diego or Tampa.

    I presume we're considering only American cities, so:
    1. Portland, OR
    2. Denver
    3. Chicago
    4. Bend, OR
    5. Grand Rapids
    If international can be considered, these could be inserted after Portland in the list above:
    1. Munich
    2. Bamberg
    3. Regensburg
    4. Brussels
    5. Brugge

    Best cities I’ve personally been to with a conscious focus on beer (in no particular order):
    • Portland, Oregon
    • Seattle, Washington
    • Denver, Colorado
    • San Diego, California
    I know I’m supposed to have a fifth one but I really only have four. I’m sure all the other beer cities around the world are wonderful too.

    4. Kinsale, Ireland
    3. Edinburgh, Scotland
    2. Dublin, Ireland
    1. Harrisburg, PA

    1. Minneapolis, MN

    3. Richmond, VA
    4. Charleston, SC
    5. Rochester, NY

    Interesting choice. I could see Harrisburg maybe getting to #5 (or close to it) on my list if Harrisburg includes "and surrounding area."

    In no order, and cities I have been to:

    Denver
    Austin
    Edinburgh
    Chicago
    Brussles

    Edinburgh is a bit of an odd ball addition. While, it does have good breweries (though not near the number normally expected for a "top beer city" listicle thing), the actual amount of quality pubs and cask available is amazing. Which more than makes up for any other short comings IMO. Brussles also doesn't have a ton of breweries, but the ones they do have are incredible, plus the many fantastic cafes/bars.

    Cities I want to experience but haven't been able to:
    Both Portland's, Munich and Bamberg, Bend...

    I have been to London once, but would love to go back and explore more. I'm pretty sure that would make my list if I spent more time there.

    1. Munich (by far);
    2. Bamberg;
    3. Warstein;
    4. Wesvleteren;
    5. Austin ("Beer capital of the US").

    My top 5 US beer cities that I have visited:

    · Portland, ME

    · Asheville, NC

    · Philadelphia, PA

    · Portland, OR

    · Grand Rapids, MI

    And an honorable mention to San Diego.

    As regards non-US cities I have enjoyed the beer scene in London and Prague so :+1: for those two cities.

    Cheers!
