It's practically Indiana, in the far southwest corner of Michigan by the lake, 20 min north of Michigan City. A super easy stop on the East-West route to-from Chicago for me.

i’ll be honest, the milko pour is a fairly new concept to me. never had one. and even on the slow pour systems (which i almost find to be synonymous with lukr even though it very well might not be), i haven’t had a ton of them either. i’d say less than 10% of the beer i drink is draft.

I am uncertain what the specific question is here but below is a video illustrating various pours that can be achieved using a Lukr side-pull faucet/tap.

    Thanks.

The question was whether or not there is something unique about the Lukr design relative to other side-pull tap handles (or regular tap handles that have been designed to be used in similar ways, but are said to have an easier learning curve).

I am unfamiliar with "other side-pull taps".

There are three 'features' of a Lukr side-pull faucet/tap:
    • There is a flow control lever on the side of the faucet/tap
    • The valve is a ball valve (which I think you discussed previously)
    • There is a microscreen within the faucet
I would be surprised if the "other side-pull taps" have all of the above.

For the interested student who wants additional information about the Lukr faucet/tap:

Thanks. I've seen many of your posts on the topic (both in general and in the NE), and appreciate your participation.

I have no idea about the brands of faucets but I asked one of the Shared employees and she says they can and have done milk pours when requested and it does work on their system (she thinks it might be a Lukr but isn't sure). Typically in my experience the brewery has been doing quick pours on their side pull and Shared has been doing the much slower pours but that could just be a feature of how busy the brewery has been.

Also content moderator is no longer on the side pull at Shared, it has been replaced with Ludwig, which is an awesome beer no matter how it is poured.

When I asked at the brewery they said that they don't do Mliko pours?? Maybe they didn't understand what I was asking. I have seen some new faces recently, so it's possible. I bought a glass of PN8 and it looked like the dregs of the keg. I never had it before, so I asked about it. He said that's what it looked like. (looked like a 450N smoothie) It wasn't really good and I confirmed with another staff member that it shouldn't look like that. So misinformation does happen.....

This is unfortunate, in the past if I were getting a pour from the bottom of the keg the staff would either give it to me for half off or something of that nature.

Yeah, I'll bring it up next time I'm there. Maybe they can just toss me a 4pk or something.

night 2 of working on this bad boy. room temp pour. still plenty of carbonation after simply being re-capped the night before. less sour and more funky. night 2 seems to be the sweet spot for these re-capped pours.

Want to be the first to say that I am not a fan of the package deals, but the bottle of Crusher that came with Terminus is actually super delicious. Just a stunning saison. Was trying to pawn it off to the guy who picked up my package for me, but now I’m glad I decided to keep it.

I'd be on board for this, especially if they add "economics of craft beer" in the title with it. Mostly so I can ignore it, come to this thread, and not read the same shit on every page.
