What beer are you drinking now? #3633

Happy October BA's - I think this is my favorite month! Drinking a Festbier while making chili for lunch - the gf and I are headed south to Wooly Pig later this afternoon to partake of their Okto-fest festivities! Yea! Love that place!

American Solera Dank of Tulsa IPA

 

So I was going to have this beer ...



... but, I bumped the glass and it fell and shattered making a huge mess - before I even got to take a sip. So now, I'm drinking this one and it's hitting the spot after cleaning up the other mess.

Happy Saturday BA's!! Busy morning, jogged, shot, shopped, cleaned out some more crap from the attic and now a KBS fudge after a couple bloody marys. May all your college football teams have a great, safe game today!

 

Happy Saturday and Happy October BA's! Had plans to go to the Cincinnati Donauschwaben Society's Oktoberfest today, but the mrs. woke up not feeling too well this morning. We are doing a makeshift mini Oktoberfest at home instead. Picked up some brats and potato salad from the local butcher shop that supplies the Donauschwaben Fest.

Currently drinking some Sam Octoberfest in a souvenir mug from last years Fest.

Alter My Freshious IPA

I would prefer a harvest style IPA for a fresh hop beer, but this is nice. Bitter piney deliciousness.

 

Zip Line Imperial Toffee Stout, 9% ABV. Strong toffee nose and taste, yet not very sweet.

 

I can't believe the lack of depth in our DBs. Not a rosy season I fear.

My take, I usually find Marzens too sweet, but this worked out well, hops subtle but holding the center well. Nice caramel malt taste, a little honey, sweet bread. Hard to not finish before completing my review.

WXRT is celebrating their 50th year (August 24, 1972 their first evening broadcast, they continued to share Spanish and other foreign language programing in the daytime hours) with 1972 the year featured on Saturday Morning Flashback.
