    Hey all
    Had a great little half-marathon in Colorado Springs this morning and a good experience. Shaved off 90 seconds from last year's time so happy with that, getting close to my times from 15 years ago. 3rd in age group. I'll take it.

    After a bout of painful first-year essay grading, I've called it, gonna enjoy this ORB Kinfolk Porter, watch some EPL highlights from today, kick back and then I'm on dinner duty later.

    Mid 80's and no humidity, pretty nice afternoon so far. Courtyard, beer, and book time. The pupper is out here as well, but he is being his usual shy self when I try to take a picture. Instead he just runs over to the neighbors ha.

    A beautiful pour of Orval, my favorite lazy afternoon outdoors beer. @mschrei has the right idea, books and comforts. Getting to the end of my book, still a bit to go, probably finish it tomorrow.

    Don't really know how to respond but I feel I have to. Trying to say the right thing, but it may not come out right. Good luck with this painful decision your family made. Maybe it will be okay in the long run. You'll always have the memories. I for one would never look at the place again, but I am sure others would come back often. Cheers.

    This is a massive anniversary beer, generally well-done yet pretty intense with alcohol presence. I think a bit of aging will smooth out the rough edges (I just happen to have a second bottle, so we'll see).
